Zirconium oxide, chemical nomenclature ZrO2, is a material that is characterized by an increasing ability of the crystals to fracture as the temperature and pressure on the treated surface increase; this physical property offers zirconium oxide the advantage of being a self – sharpening abrasive: the breaking of the grains during processing guarantees the continuous production of new sharp and abrasive cusps. This quality makes it a very suitable material for use in the satin finishing of stainless steel and in the calibration of wood.

Non-Woven produced in white aluminium oxide grit 240. This grit gives to this tissue a particular capacity of polishing in a way both soft and effective. It is used when is required an uniform finishing and not excessively aggressive. It is used to be converted in pads and in flap wheels for the polishing of the soaked paintings, nitrate paintings and cellulose nitrate paintings, not covering polyurethane paintings etc... |
